Time flies.

It is amazing how the time flies by. We have been enjoying life the past few weeks and stuffing it full of many activities. Many baby showers (thank you all), moving to our new condo in Layton, preparing for the baby and getting settled in our place before he comes has kept us with much to do.

The Adams' Family Baby Shower

Amazingly wonderful trifle (?) that Jennifer made.

The Robinette girls.

An adorable little hat!

The Dental Office Baby Shower

One of Pat Glenn's friends made this cake. It was so cute and delicious. Thanks!

So excited for Candice's diapers! of course.

The most wonderful moving crew. Thank you Robinette family.

Dad took us to Tasties after we moved a large portion of our stuff.

Down in Gug's town. We visited her at work.

The Wreck

(This is Chris writing)
On Tuesday afternoon on the way home from soccer I was riding my bike on the sidewalk along Wasatch Drive by Layton High. There is a traffic light as this road intersects with Fort Lane. The light was green going my direction so I was headed toward the crosswalk. As I was doing so a car was approaching turning right onto Wasatch Drive but I assumed he'd see me. And we all know what happens when you assume. His light was red so he slowed down to see if anyone was coming from the left and just continued through. Unfortunately I was in the crosswalk when that happened. He accelerated into the left side of my bike. I still had my shinguards on he hit those and then I was able to extricate my left leg from the left side of the bike while simultaneously setting my right foot down and hopping away from the bike, leaving it under the front of his car. I was fine. Maybe a bump on the left knee. The bike, however, did not make it.
The front wheel, bent and misshapen. The back wheel, also bent and misshapen. The left foot pedal, bent. I don't know how nothing happened to my foot, ankle or leg.

Baby Shower!

LeeAnn and Jill Christensen threw me a baby shower this week. It was so fun, and I loved being able to chat and laugh with family. I am so thankful for everybody and their willingness to make sure Camden is one of the cutest kids on the block by rapidly increasing his wardrobe.
Thank you everybody!

Kelsey and Justice.

McCall and LeeAnn.

Mayleen and Julie. (Laughing at Jill I'm sure.)

Jill and Reagan.

Julie and Emily. (If you can't tell, I caught Emily mid-story telling.)

What a wonderful family. Thanks everybody!

A bit of lately

A picture journal of our lives lately.
(Picture captions can be found below each picture.)

Ring burn? My actual wedding ring got safely tucked away back into it's original box so these pregnant fingers will stop getting this ring rash.

Gug and I went on a hike the day before the 4th of July up Adams Canyon. So fun.

Chris was gone on the High Adventure with the priests and teachers in our ward, so Erica stepped up to take our 8 month (32 week) prego picture.

Serious Kaysville parade watching by Clark. They got those cool necklaces at the parade.

An orthodontist invited our dental office (and the rest of the world) to a party at the Roy Aquatic Center last Thursday. Chris had told me he was going to perform a double back flip. This is him in preparation to ascend.

The 1.5 back flop.
I wish I would have continued filming him as he came out of the pool saying "owie! owie! That really hurt!"

The burn from slapping the water.

These boys were doing some sweet flippies and jumps off the boards.

Clark's constant crew as of late. Chris, Clark, Jake, and Jon.

Loverly Outdoors

Last week we went camping (in part to celebrate Erica's 20th birthday)! Clarkie couldn't come because he had his scout camp (vacation) that weekend, but we tried to have as much fun as we could without him. I love camping.

The man who makes it all happen. Thanks Dad.

The red eyes could not be removed without ruining the pic.

And just to be sure that we don't leave Clarkie out of the blog post, here he is.

Utah Summer Games

(This is Chris writing)
Yesterday Marianne and I drove down to Cedar City for the Utah Summer Games. I competed in weightlifting in the 94kg and under weight class (though it should be called "mass class" because we all know mass is measured in grams and is not a function of gravity like weight). As is my tradition, I made a video documenting the day a little bit.

Yes, I won the Gold. There were only 2 people in my weight class and the other dude did not complete any of his clean and jerks and was therefore disqualified (though had he completed the lightest one he attempted, he would have blown me away). By medaling, I qualified for the 2011 State of Games in San Diego, CA. Crazy.

Another Reason to Love Barca

Thierry Henry celebrates after his diving header against Lyon in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Andres Iniesta celebrates after delivering the equalizer against Chelsea (which was the game-winning goal due to the away goals rule).
Samuel Eto'o scores the tenth-minute opener against Manchester United.
Lionel Messi heads home a perfectly placed ball from Xavi in 70th minute to seal the win for Barca.
Champions!

There are obvious reasons to love Barcelona FC. They play a beautiful game. Seemingly everyone on the team can deliver a perfectly weighted pass that leads to a goal. They scored 140 goals on their way to winning the treble of the Spanish Copa del Rey, La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Their front line features Theirry Henry, Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi. They have two fantastic midfielders in Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta. But for one more interesting tidbit that I didn't know but furthers my belief that they are the greatest club in Europe right now, read this story.
