I have been having an inner battle as to letting my child discover his world and letting my things get ruined. So far the list includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1) Battery cover on camera (no pictures, for obvious reasons)
2) A foam ball
3) A nice stoneware pie pan. :(

Egg-ZOO-burant Day
We took Camdie to the ZOO this week. It was a day packed full of animals and their associated smell. It is humbling to see God's creations up close and personal. Each one is interesting in a different way. Some make me want to cuddle them, others are surprisingly massive. It strengthens my testimony of and gratitude for the creation of the earth and the inhabitants here with us.
Can you guess what Camden thought was most interesting in the monkey cage?
Trying to go get some chickens.
Waiting for the bird show to start.
The bird show was AWESOME! Cam just sat there the whole time mesmermized.
And Camden got to give a dollar to the parrot, who then put it in the donation bin.
Wanted to touch the bunny.
Zuri (the baby elephant) was ADORABLE. Indescribable.
After the train ride at the end of a very long day. Can you tell Camden is tired?

Can you tell how much Chris loves parades?
Ah, some excitement! Watching the parade from the roof of the studio.
Camden looks a little skeptical about the idea.
As he should have been. When Chris helped me up on the roof, I jumped and swung my leg around to get up which is when these shorts could hold me in no longer. That's right, a big rip right on the back bum seam. :(
The twins had the idea to watch the parade from the roof and it was a JACKPOT up there.
Every single float that noticed those boys up there wanted to try to get their free products to them, so they each got a tie, multiple necklaces, frisbees, taffy, etc. You name it.
Camdie pooped right out.
One of our traditions is to have a BBQ at the Hart's where we can watch the fireworks afterwards.
I made these fun flag cakes. Unfortunately they are not as yummy as they look.
but I LOVED the blue.

What to do with an onion scape?
This is one of the best uses we have discovered for an onion scape thus far.
The other is to cut them up and put them in spaghetti sauce.
Yes, Chris is asleep through Camden's crawling all over him.
