HELP ME!

Hello Friends.  I need your experience and expertise.  I'd like to be able to get around town on the bike with Cam this summer.  (Sadly, Chris has recently become a working stiff, and takes the car.)  I am poor, but don't want Camden to die because I bought a cheap bike seat.  The seats with the child in front seem like it would be hard to ride, and I've heard the stroller ones aren't very comfy for the kids.  I don't know.  If you have ANY knowledge or opinion on this please, leave me some words.  Thanks!

Here are some that come up on Amazon.com

WeeRide LTD Kangaroo Child Bike Seat $60.00

iBert Safe T-Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat $75.00

Bell Classic Bicycle Child Carrier $30.00

I did quite a bit of research on this when Harry was Cam's age. I bought the ibert and LOVE it!! He's in front and therefore has the best seat in the house. Harrison is in HEAVEN whenever we went on the bike. It's safest for the child to be up front too. It wasn't hard for me to pedal and I was never annoyed by the seat either. I really would highly recommend the ibert.
That's my two cents...continue to read reviews and go with what you think will fit you guys best. :)

I can't help you because I'm far too lazy to tote a kid around on a bike. Scott gave me a bike trailer for my birthday once and I'm still mad. They seem so dangerous! I'm all for sticking him in that seat thing behind you that you have a picture of.

He would love the one that sits in front. But it does seem like it would be hard to see and steer. We should go on bike rides.

We have one that is like the 3rd picture. I love it and have no problems with it. I have done no research just personal experiance, like 10 years of experiance, I used to tote my brother and sisters on the back of the bike with that and now I have it on my bike for my baby. I also have a trailor. I love the trailor. It has the shield for if it is rainy or windy, has totally been used. When I am by a busy street I am not worried that a rock my fly up and hit him. I love the feel of it and my kids have never complained about its comfort. When my baby is on the bike if I go fast, like standing up to pedal, it sways him back and forth which he doesn't love. Trailors hold extra goodies in the back too. I would say if you can go with a trailor. Also make it one that can fold so you can transport it in a car if needed. A few years ago costco had one that did that, mine doesn't and many time I wish it could. Also one last thought, the basket in the back keeps the wind out of the childs face because the adult is blocking it, I would think it would more then the front one. I have never used the front one though. I don't see why either would be safer, except the first picture. I dont like that if thebike feel over the kid could get his side scraped up. I would suggest checking KSL classified I bet you could find a good deal. Well hope this was helpful. Sorry if it was just more confusing then helpful. Good Luck!

sorry I need to clarify, the rear seat sways back and forth with the bike, NOT the trailor. Trailor is my fave, but do like the back just fine although it does make a little heavier when kid is older where a trailor would last longer through more ages.

We have a trailor and Annie loves it. We got it on a good sale at ShopKo when Taryn was little and they actually both fit in it but mostly T rides her own bike. We have loved it though, on long and short bike rides.
